Mrs Soraiya Ismail is an approved qualified Microsuction Specialist based in Cannock, Staffordshire. She has gained her ear wax microsuction qualification through The Hearing Lab, to safely remove problematic ear wax under microscope using a CE marked suction device.
This more specialised method is much safer than syringing, which water in pumped blindly into the ear canal which can possibly lead to further complications. Microsuction is more precise, safer and much more comfortable as the wax is visible at all times. Images of your ear canal are shown to you pre and post procedure.
Biography
Soraiya is a fully qualified Audiologist & Ear Care Specialist and gained her degree at Aston University in 2012. Since then she has been practicing as an NHS Audiologist at 2 NHS Trusts, currently at University Hospitals Derby & Burton. In 2016 after completing training in Ear Wax Microsuction, she used this qualification to set up her own private ear care clinic, S.I Ear Care, specialising in all types of ear wax removal and custom made hearing protection. Soraiya runs her private clinic along side working in the NHS part time.
To date she has conducted over 30,000 ear examinations NHS and private combined.
Soraiya has also gained her qualification as a Clinical Educator at Manchester University in July 2020, teaching and supervising University students on hospital placement within NHS Audiology Departments. Alongside of this, she also is recognised as a Higher Education Institution Assessor, examining Manchester University's Audiology Students in their practical exams.
Apart from her career, Soraiya enjoys cooking, fishing and baking for charity fundraisers. She also has a special interest in Marine Biology and is a huge lover of cats.
